    The Author

Emefiena Ezeani

Emefiena Ezeani first studied Philosophy and Theology. He later did Development Studies and Information and Communication Technology at the University of East London UK, an MA in Education and International Development and PGCE at the University of London.

He has a keen interest in areas such as Minority Language Preservation, History, Social Justice, Education, Democracy and Development. He propounded the philosophical doctrine of Iquism that philosophy is essentially intelligent and pragmatic questioning with social consequences.

Being pessimistic about the development potentiality of Partisan Democracy in Africa and other economically less-developed countries of the world, the author is now working on a doctoral Action Research programme; Democracy, Development and Multi-partisan Politics; The Third Way Development Strategy for Africa. In this study, he will present a violence and conflict-free, peace-enhancing and less costly(in human and material terms) alternative to a Single Party or Multi-party Democracy.

This new system, he believes , will also satisfy the just desires of all ethnic groups in a country and guarantee the emergence of choice leadership . This structure he calls Participatory College Democracy or simply Cooperative Democracy as oppose to Competitive Democracy.
