“If you keep the laws of God, he will answer all your prayers and if you keep in part, he will answer in part to your prayers” Psalm 18: 25-26
Is prayer a good practice? What does prayer do in a prayer’s life? Foremost, prayer is a personal review and redirection of one’s life. Prayer helps one to recollect, resubmit and re-channel life properly. If one goes on working, he may not do a good harvest if he never reviewed his work and method . In our pluralistic, imitative and competitive environment, mistakes are easy but with a little prayer and refocusing, lucky people may learn to redirect their lives more proficiently. The purpose of prayer is to check, evaluate and re-prompt life. Prayer provides providential remedies. Prayer enhances the melodies of life.
The inspiration for this presentation started on 25 July 2004 at 00.00 hours . In the name of Jesus, let the truth be made manifest and prevail. By the power of the Holy Spirit of God in me, let the enemies of truth be squashed. This precept though Christian is prepared in the Hebraic tradition. Christianity has metamorphosed to humanitarianism and socialism but prayer is a spiritual dialogue with God. Where did you meet God, in the temple? Everyone meets God in his mind. What is the meeting about? It is about you, the image and essence of God, discovering and manifesting God in your life. Man as god must walk with God’s spirit to tame flesh. One, who has not rebuked the flesh before will not survive the spiritual warfare. The flesh may house the spirit, it may debilitate it also.
Jesus is Lord because of his experiences and achievements. Anyone who believes in God and seeks perfection inwardly will become a powerful tool. Like Abraham, by walking with God, he will become perfect. A perfect emulation of Jesus and Abraham interlocks the world in judgement because it has benefited from their experiences.
This book is about self-transformation and transplanting into the garden of the Lord. God is already ruling the world in mercy and kindness. No one prays for mercy, faith or trust gets it unless he lives it in his daily life. To please God is a requirement for a good earthly life and to offend God is to set fire upon oneself. The ‘whole’ prayer brings one nearer to God as in doing God’s will; God in turn does one’s will. This is what makes relationship with God a mutual covenant.
If you want to live to your full natural age, do not rush? Each attempt to rush life produces a clever stroke note. Do not attempt to rush the world, it cannot be rushed. Like life, it takes time to germinate, nurse, dress and determine for greater purpose. To rush is championing disaster at the expense of patience. Without equity, many labourers labour in vain or read the gloomy/passive countenance of many dead persons, what does it say?
How to Use this Book
After Peter and his colleagues had fished in vain for the whole night, their fishing trays held little or nothing. At the point of frustration, the Lord appeared and prayed them to fish again. For people who had fished all night, this could irritate but they obeyed and fished. The result marvelled them. You may have prayed all the day or year long without receiving the answers you expected. We do not know the reason but as Peter and his mates obeyed the Lord, the moment of such miracle in your life has come if you persist in faith and good state of life. The methods outlined in this book will help you to live up to Peter’s experience to start with. The whole book is about making measurable prayer. You have learnt to outpour your mind to God but possibly, not how to check whether what you outpoured reached God. The methods outlined in this book will help you measure your progress.
Chapter 1 explains how prayer began for the first time. It reveals samples of prayer for your information. Chapter 2 deals with the equity of prayer and which prayer will be answered. Chapter 3 deals with prayer that will not be answered. The medicinal power of prayer is the concern of chapter 4 as good prayer can usher in a good physician/healer. The power of prayer chapter 5 stretches forth in other directions as in ‘seek you first the kingdom of God….’ The redemptive prayer; chapter 6 is both penitential and resilience. Whosoever prayer was heard is redeemed for the course of it. To redeem is to set free even in the least thing. Salvation unto the just is a mark of divine recognition. Remember when God set Kaine free, he put a mark on him so that nobody may condemn or harm him. The salvation of the Lord puts a mark on you, so that inwardly, you are guided and outwardly, your appearance is delicate to the outward world. God in prayer chapter 8, is the heart of the book as no one expects to hear God if he does not reach Him. God in prayer is living in God and walking with him to leaven one’s life. In addition, those who succeed in this provide evidence chapter 9. Evidence is not only the answered prayer; the unanswered ones have evidence to guide life. At least, one whose prayers breed bitterness and unhappiness
has evidence in his life. It is not fair to enjoy one’s favour without acknowledgement. Testimony, chapter 10 is a process of acknowledgement. The latter reinforces faith. You can never tell how your heaven, will be until you have a taste of it on earth. ‘May your will be done on earth as it is done in heaven’ - is this prayer fulfilled in heaven or on earth? At this point, you are the judge.
This book, if properly used will reconcile your heaven with your earth and make you the apple of God’s eye. I am giving a testimony and I hope; you will experience wonderfully to give your own testimony. It starts like the hen that wants to lay eggs. It prepares the nest, makes it fit for the purpose; lays her eggs, incubates them to hatch and nurtures the chicks to self-catering, who could say that the hen was thoughtless in the above actions? The thoughts the hen puts in the above project concerns her personally; imagine the power the hen received from its Creator and what prayer she said to be able to do these things. With the mind of God already in us, fruitful prayers take a careful adjustment of life.
The necessitous circumstances that would yield the evidence must be personally commanding. You should try to meditate or reason the mood and how it applied to someone in the past and how it could apply to you. You must be committed. Like students studying to know, you must come to terms with yourself. This comes first before reaching out to God.
God is not limited in any book. The most one can gain from any book (prayer or literature) is the ideal about people’s experiences with God and how to access His mind. This book is about accessing God. Anyone can access God directly for personal experience in order to prove God. As the Centurion said:“I am not worthy that thou should come under my roof but say the word only and my servant shall be healed ”;
One needs word-command to monitor relationship with God. It could be ‘truth’, ‘honesty’, ‘promise’ or whatever one treasures to remind him of his covenantal undertaking. You should observe it as your life-command. Self-stand needs word-command to monitor its outcome. Your success in this approach is guaranteed.
Watch, the longest conversation Abraham had with God was in the intercession for Sodom and Gomorrah. For the rest, Abraham went straight and specifically to the issue.
